Kids Weightlifting

New Session Starts: August 15th, 10 am, Saturday
Next Weightlifting Meet: November 7-8th.

Who: Kids 9-13 years old. (Maturity level dependent)
Cost: $10 per session. (Punch cards available)

The objective of this program is to teach kids to value fitness & health, to learn to move functionally and explosively, and to develop character. Olympic Weightlifting is a perfect balance between the need for mental focus and explosive power. It is a great tool to teach kids body control and to develop strength, balance, and speed. The class provides a unique opportunity for kids to work hard and see positive results. They set short and long term goals and develop perseverance; positive thinking skills, focus, patience, self-confidence, determination, discipline, social skills, courage, resiliency, and passion… character traits unique to sport. Not to mention they learn to Olympic Weightlift! The atmosphere is fun and sessions are broken up with plyometric and core work. The coaches are both CrossFit and USAW Certified. The session culminates with an Olympic Weightlifting Meet on November 7th, 2015.
