Kids Weightlifting
When: Saturday mornings from 10-11 am.
Who: Kids 9-13 years old. (Maturity level dependent)
Cost: $10 per session. (Punch cards available)
The objective of this program is to teach kids to value fitness & health, to learn to move functionally and explosively, and to develop character. Olympic Weightlifting is a perfect balance between the need for mental focus and explosive power. It is a great tool to teach kids body control and to develop strength, balance, and speed. The class provides a unique opportunity for kids to work hard and see positive results. They set short and long term goals and develop perseverance; positive thinking skills, focus, patience, self-confidence, determination, discipline, social skills, courage, resiliency, and passion… character traits unique to sport. Not to mention they learn to Olympic Weightlift! The atmosphere is fun and sessions are broken up with plyometric and core work. The coaches are both CrossFit and USAW Certified.
Kids CrossFit!
When: Saturday mornings from 9-10 am.
Who: Children 5-10 years old.
Cost: $5 per child, per class. (No contracts or obligations)
A Certified CF-Level1 / CF-Kids Coach will be providing supervised play. We emphasize good movement skills from an early age disguised as fun. We keep the children physically active, employ a wide variety of movements, and scale the exercises to meet their needs and ages.
FRCF Summer Junior Program!
FRCF Junior Camps focus on mentoring your child through the stages of athletic development. For some of the ages, that may look like fun, play and games. For the older children, that may be learning how to train for sport. The objective of this program is to teach kids to value fitness & health, to learn to move functionally and explosively, and to develop character. The FRCF Junior Program promotes athletic progression, as well as character development (discipline), life skills (team work), mental conditioning (focus), and general physical preparedness (GPP) for sport. Children will be grouped by age and abilities and work on appropriate skills.
CrossFit is a perfect balance between the need for mental focus, strength and explosive power. It is a great tool to teach kids body control and to develop the athletic mind set. The class provides a unique opportunity for kids to work hard and see positive results.
