Exercise and Nutrition
If you are already a CrossFitter, you have the work ethic to train hard to get strong and fit. The other half of the equation, leaning out and building muscle mass, can be achieved through good nutrition that focuses on the quantity and quality of the foods you eat. By combining the FRCF CrossFit workouts and a solid nutrition base you can achieve the full potential of the FRCF program.
The CrossFit Dietary Prescription:
Finely tuned, a good diet will increase health, energy and sense of well-being, while reducing fat, packing on muscle and optimizing physical performance. Your nutrition will amplify or diminish the effects of your training efforts.
So What Should I Eat?
In plain language, base your diet on garden vegetables, lean meats, nuts and seeds, some fruit and little starch. That's about as simple as we can get. This program looks very much like what our Paleolithic ancestors ate, and is what we are still genetically designed to eat today. It is devoid of processed carbohydrates, all grains (including corn, wheat, pasta and rice), legumes, manufactured fats, and sugar.
