Stacy Claycomb

FRCF Coach

  • CrossFit Level 1 (January 2009)
  • FRCF Coaching Development Course (January 2011)

Stacy started CrossFitting in 2008.  She is a native Coloradoan who grew up in the metro area in a family that emphasized sports as much as academics.  On a whim, she walked in the doors of Front Range CrossFit and found the sport proved to be a great extension of her interest in fitness and the comradery that comes with being part of a team.  Stacy placed 2nd in the Colorado Open in 2008 and later competed as an individual at the 2008 CrossFit Games.  At the 2009 CrossFit Games she competed as a team member of Brother’s CrossFit.

When she’s not competing, Stacy volunteers as a judge at many of the FRCF events.  Training CrossFit is an ongoing exercise in humility and patience.  Within the walls of FRCF, there is a certain magic that comes with both the work and the shared celebration that comes with even small accomplishments. Coaching provides an opportunity to motivate others to achieve their measure of success.

Outside of the gym, Stacy is a pediatric audiologist at a local hospital.  While her main job is in the clinic, she also instructs graduate students and participates in community outreach programs to help ensure that deaf and hard-of-hearing kids have the opportunities and tools they need for a lifetime of success.
